As a young but well-established non-profit ministry, The Colossian Forum (TCF) is positioned to grow dramatically over the next few years both in size and influence. We are growing and looking for a Manager of Marketing and Communications to join our team. The Manager of Marketing and Communications (MarCom) will articulate TCF’s mission and lead in communicating and cultivating relationships with TCF’s target audiences. Understanding the non-profit marketing exchange, the Manager of MarCom will embrace and support TCF’s commitment to provide valuable programs and services that deliver mission impact.  This position will be focused on developing and implementing comprehensive organizational marketing and communications plans to meet annual corporate goals for program growth as well as donor cultivation, engagement, and stewardship

Primary responsibilities will include:

  • Champion and execute marketing and communication plans to achieve annual strategic goals and to enhance the organizational brand; actively work to strengthen and promote missional effectiveness and growth
  • Create or source original content including written features, press releases, newsletters, web features and stories, and social media content; communicate mission impact through storyfocused content
  • Actively manage website content, using analytics to assess performance against goals
  • Actively grow and manage organizational constituency lists, segmenting appropriately
  • Conduct creative and cascading marketing and communication campaigns across diverse media channels to increase target audience participation in all strategic initiatives
  • Conduct marketing data analysis of all target audience behaviors to fine-tune marketing
  • In conjunction with TCF’s Leadership Team, curate and deliver thought leadership content to target audiences to increase missional engagement and revenue goals
  • Create, send, and measure performance of all electronic communication including: event invitations, program engagement, donation appeals, and other eCommunications (e.g., blog, prayer letter, newsletters, etc.)
  • Create and implement editorial and production calendars for all marketing and communication activities and campaign
  • Master MailChimp software and its integration with Salesforce to build a strategic, nuanced, and effective digital communication platform and communication strategies
  • Enhance the organization’s visibility and reputation through strategic positioning and communication
  • Manage the marketing and communication budget
  • Support and promote events as needed

Qualifications:

  • 10+ years’ experience in the Marketing and Communications field
  • Strong Christian faith and character, mirroring TCF’s core virtues (i.e., charity/love, hospitality, reconciliation, and discerning essentials in service of the Church)
  • Agreement with TCF’s Statement of Faith as encapsulated in the Nicene-Constantinopolitan Creed of 381 (Nicene Creed) and the Chalcedonian Definition
  • Understanding of and commitment to TCF’s mission, demonstrating an eagerness to learn and to promote missional fluency and practice internally and externally
  • Excellent communication skills, able to articulate missional theological and philosophical nuances to a wide-range of audiences
  • Demonstrated proficiency in using content marketing to drive missional engagement and ownership
  • Excellent writing and presentation skills; proven experience in marketing copywriting
  • Demonstrated proficiency in non-profit marketing for fund development, programs, products, and services
  • Proven experience in developing and executing an integrated marketing and communication plan (i.e., multi-media, multi-channel, multi-segment) 
  • Proven experience in social and digital media marketing, including A/B and multivariate experiments
  • A forward-moving and digitally curious mindset that recognizes new opportunities
  • Adept with CRM, MS Office, CMS, and social media; proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite preferred
  • Strong analytical skills and data-driven thinking, including experience with web analytics tools
  • Proven knowledge of web design, web development, Conversion Rate Optimization (CRO), and Search Engine Optimization (SEO)
