Baudville Brands is listed as one of West Michigan’s 101 best and brightest companies to work for, and we are seeking to welcome a Human Resources Director to help continue that trend.  The experienced individual selected for this position will focus on both high level strategic initiatives as well as optimizing and administering daily HR operations for our West Michigan-based facility. As an evangelist of our organizational culture, the Human Resources Director will establish accountabilities in areas of talent acquisition, employee engagement, employee relations, employee retention, compensation, benefit administration, learning & development, and compliance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work closely with the leadership team to create and implement efficient and impactful talent management strategy and continuously raise the bar of the HR programs and services provided to our team. Successfully lead recruitment and selection for assigned roles
  • Serve our internal customers by acting as a key point of contact for employees related to all human resources matters
  • Provide guidance and support to managers on developing strong work teams specifically in the areas of performance management, goal setting and employee relations
  • Design and deploy training and development programs to optimize performance and retention of staff
  • Be a leader and champion of employee events in support of our workplace culture

What We Are Looking For

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or related field.  Advanced degrees preferred.
  • 7+ years of HR management experience
  • A strategic thinking with a passion for the business of human resources
  • Able to build and maintain effective relationships at all levels - quickly gaining credibility
  • Strong prioritization and organization skills with a strong attention to detail
  • Demonstrated success with recruitment and selection
  • Strong judgment - make good decisions and find good solutions across a range of challenges
  • Self-sufficient with a strong sense of ownership - delivering agreed upon results with limited supervision
  • Process orientation - ability to streamline for good outcomes with quality and efficiency
  • Excellent communication and consensus building skills
  • Flexible and comfortable operating with ambiguity and limited oversight
  • Outstanding work ethic, positive attitude and a willingness to do whatever it takes to provide outstanding HR service to the organization
  • PHR/SPHR or equivalent certifications from accredited organizations preferred
