Our organization is growing and we are currently looking for a Database Administrator. This multifaceted position is focused on advancing our core operating systems in addition to planning, directing and coordinating all global IT activities.  This position holds an opportunity to create and advance our IT department along with providing future career growth opportunities to a senior management role.

How You Will Spend Your Day:

  • Monitor and optimize the performance of the database including installation, programming, problem solving, maintenance and upgrades of hardware and software to enhance performance.
  • Manage backing up and restoring database.
  • Manage archived data and collaborative file management solutions.
  • Maintain network system security including user access levels.
  • Evaluate IT structure and align solutions that are congruent with strategic direction of company.
  • Specify all hardware and software solutions.
  • Work with all levels of the organization to identify, discuss and solve IT challenges.
  • Research and recommend improvements to operating system.
  • Manage all third-party IT partners for alignment with company needs.
  • Collaborate with leadership team to help define strategic direction and future needs.

What You’ll Need to Succeed:

  • Bachelor’s degree in an Information Technology discipline.
  • 5-8 years IT / Database experience including experience with database concepts, development, maintenance, and security.
  • Manufacturing process understanding (Products, Parts, BOMs, SOL, etc.).
  • Technical zeal for problem solving.
    • Fishbowl, Postgres, iReport, and Ruby on Rails experience is a plus.
  • Must have outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
