Universal Engineering Sciences is looking for a License Fire Inspector in SW Florida to do inspections in the area.

Required Experience/Licenses/Certifications:
  • State of Florida Fire Inspector Certification
  • Valid Driver's license with an acceptable MVR


Additional DBPR Certifications under F.S. 468 are preferred but not required
 

DETAILED ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following.

 
  • Performs specialized inspection work examining buildings to determine compliance with the Fire Prevention Code.


When driving company vehicle follow all driving laws.

 
Follow all company safety procedures and policies.
 
Other duties may be assigned.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
 
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
 
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
