Natural Choice Foods, a family-owned company located in Comstock Park, Michigan, is continuing their phenomenal growth and we need a Warehouse Manager who is ready to move with us!  Founded in 1997, Natural Choice Foods provides an outlet for food manufacturers to move excess inventories.  With state of the art logistics, we ship products daily throughout the United States.  We also sell direct to our loyal customers through our three Daily Deals Food outlets located in the Grand Rapids metro area.

What your day will look like:

  • Oversee shipping, receiving, warehousing, distribution, inventory, fleet and maintenance operations.
  • Initiate, coordinate and enforce optimal operational policies and procedures.
  • Maintain standards of health and safety, hygiene and security.
  • Comply with federal, state, and local warehousing, material handling, and shipping requirements by studying existing and new legislation; enforcing adherence to requirements; advising management on needed actions.
  • Maintain physical condition of warehouse by planning and implementing new design layouts; inspecting equipment; issuing work orders for repair and requisitions for replacement.
  • Achieve financial objectives by preparing an annual budget; scheduling expenditures; analyzing variances; initiating corrective actions.
  • Produce reports and statistics regularly that drive the business forward.
  • Complete warehouse operational requirements by scheduling and assigning employees, following up on work results.
  • Support and lead the implementation of a Warehouse Management System
  • Maintain warehouse staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, motivating and training employees

What you’ll need to succeed:

  • 5-7 years of experience in a warehouse.
  • Bachelor’s Degree.
  • Lift truck License.
  • CDL Class A License.
  • Experience in Microsoft Excel and ERP.
  • Understanding of Lean Manufacturing principles and practices. 
  • We need someone who can go the extra mile and dive into problem solving.
  • Management skills that involve listening, communicating and championing a team atmosphere.
  • A capacity to grow and develop in their career.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills. 
  • Able to meet demanding deadlines and work in a highly dynamic work environment.

  • A proactive self-starter driven by productivity and process improvement.
