We employ nearly 400 people focused on the application of functional and decorative finishes to supplied metal and plastic components that are delivered to numerous OEM markets.

We are looking for a Quality Manager to join our team with the ability to build processes and put your stamp on opportunities for improvement.

How You Will Spend Your Day:

  • Having an impact on improving customer service by reducing customer returns, improving customer satisfaction, following up with customers when needed and visiting customers when Quality Engineer(s) are unable to provide support
  • Reducing the overall cost of quality by determining cost saving solutions that result in process improvements
  • Implement, improve, and maintain the quality management system
  • Manage staff and provide department employees with annual developmental goals and reviews
  • Member of management team for quarterly review meetings and SDF Steering Committee
  • Report quality metrics (cost of quality and PPMs) to management
  • Work with appropriate cross functional teams to implement, verify and close Corrective Actions
  • Ensure established processes/systems are being followed
  • Assist and promote the APQP process as well as review and approve PPAP related documentation
  • Responsible for ensuring labs with ISO/IEC17025 accreditation are used for calibration equipment identified as quality related tools/instruments
  • Attend weekly launch meeting as needed
  • Complete supplier performance reports monthly
  • Responsible for quality record retention

What You Will Need to Succeed:

  • Associates degree and/or minimum three years related experience or training
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint and Outlook
  • Ability to speak effectively before groups of management and customers
  • Good correspondence skills
  • Able to sit, walk, stand and/or type for long periods of time and lift 40 pounds
  • Form vision

  • Pass Farnsworth test
  • Complete PPAP/Control Plan/PFMEA training within one year of being assigned to the Quality Department
