Our services allow providers to maintain their solo or small group practices but yet enjoy the same benefits and luxuries of billing staff that typically only large groups have. Our organization is growing and have a great opportunity for an Office Manager to join our team.

What You Will Do:

The Office Manager is responsible for providing a wide range of office management and support to the company including overseeing and supervising procedures and personnel associated with billing, insurance and collections. This is a supervisory and hands-on position that requires analysis of aging reports and continuous contact with office staff, insurance companies and patients.

  • Manage overall administrative activities for the office
  • Hire, supervise, train and counsel billing staff to help perform administrative duties
  • Develop and implement billing policies and procedures
  • Continuously review policies and procedures and make appropriate changes or adjustments as necessary
  • Handle in-house inquiries related to insurance billing concerns, collection law, and insurance protocol; provide training and consultation to clinical team and billing staff to ensure accuracy of medical coding for both compliance and maximum reimbursement
  • Respond in a timely manner to audit requests from insurance carriers, agencies, municipalities, Medicaid, financial auditors, and others
  • Stay current with insurance carrier changes at both the state and federal levels to ensure accurate billing
  • Be actively involved in complex payer issues and continuously look for opportunities to improve and create synergies
  • Remain responsible for the day-to-day facilities operations including supervising the maintenance and alteration of office areas and equipment such as the layout, arrangement and housekeeping of office facilities; purchasing office supplies, furniture, office equipment etc. for the entire staff
  • Perform administrative work such as typing, filing, sorting, and distributing mail; assisting with the preparation of correspondence to clients
  • Assist accountants with activities such as processing accounts payable and accounts receivables in an accurate and timely manner and other related activities
  • Insurance credentialing for federal & commercial lines

Who You Are:

  • Associates degree in Business Administration; Bachelors preferred
  • 5+ years of medical billing experience
  • Knowledge of medical practices and terminology
  • Must have experience working with Medicaid, Medicare, and Private Insurance providers
  • Knowledge of Medisoft medical management
  • Knowledge of Trizetto Gateway EDI clearinghouse software is a plus
  • Knowledge of BillFlash STMT & CC Processing software is a plus
  • Strong computer and internet skills including all MS Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint), insurance company websites and Google platform required
  • Experience with payroll software a plus; familiarity with administration of IRA plans, medical/dental insurance, COBRA, ERISA, FMLA, and related state and federal regulations a plus
  • Must have strong customer support orientation (for internal/external customers), demonstrated professional demeanor, and the ability to maintain confidential information
