We are looking for a Digital Content Specialist to join our team. Reporting to the Director of Marketing, you will help lead marketing efforts by using new media and digital tools such as websites, podcasts, social media and blogs.

Here’s more about what you’d be doing at the Grand Rapids Chamber:

  • Coordinate the creation of digital content (e.g. website, blogs, eblast, video and podcasts)
  • Establish our web presence to boost brand awareness
  • Maintain a strong online company voice through social media channels and website
  • Manage end-to-end digital projects
  • Willingness to work with cross functional teams to coordinate marketing, advertising, and promotional activities
  • Understanding of brand management and how to develop content that maintains brand standards
  • Experience writing content that include researching and interviewing
  • Willingness to travel to events (as required) for content
  • Stay up-to-date with digital media developments

Here’s who we’re looking for:

  • BA/BS degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, or related field.
  • Minimum 3-5 years’ experience providing content writing for a variety of sources including web and social media copy, digital ads and blogs.
  • Experience with various social media platforms including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and LinkedIn
  • Experience monitoring ROI
  • Experience using management and analytical tools (e.g. HootSuite; social media platform analytics, Google analytics)
  • Experience in planning, managing, and executing social media initiatives
  • Working knowledge of web content management systems (CMS) highly preferred
  • Basic knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite
  • Experience with website content management systems
