A well established, profitable and growing company is seeking a Systems Analyst to work within the Finance & Accounting Department.  This company prides itself on providing its employees a great work life balance and a friendly, decidely non corporate work environment.The Systems Analyst will play an integral role in the organization, serving as the main conduit between the Finance and IT departments. The person in this role will work closely with Finance members from the Business Units, External Reporting, FP&A, Corporate Accounting, Treasury as well as IT. Provides timely and effective technical support to internal customers to troubleshoot issues and minimize down time for the end user during the month-end close and forecast processes
  • Perform system administration for assigned business application including security administration, writing/updating scripts, user training, configuration management, system monitoring, and appropriate documentation of all activities
  • Collaborate with IT and other applicable departments to ensure all user needs are identified and included into system requirements and all technical aspects are properly documented, tested and addressed
  • Maintain metadata changes and mapping tables between financial systems as needed and communicate changes to application users and management
  • Assist with Corporate Sarbanes-Oxley review including updating documentation and providing support for internal/external testing
  • Identify and make recommendations for improving business processes and procedures for assigned accounting/financial systems and databases
  • Ensure integration points and data flows between systems are efficient and optimal (forecast and actual data loads, metadata updates, integration between financial, planning and BI applications)
  • Implement governance over account structures, organization hierarchies, key data elements and related configurations
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, IT or related area of study
  • Minimum of five years work experience in Finance & Systems Analysis
  • Demonstrated ability to understand and discuss complex system and finance issues
  • Superior analytical, problem-solving, decision-making skills
  • Must be comfortable working with large amounts of data and have the ability to deliver under pressure while balancing multiple priorities
  • Must be a self-starter with a focus on process and continuous improvement
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills: Working experience with spreadsheets and advanced features/functions (Macro’s, VB Script, Pivot Tables, V-Lookup, etc)
  • Knowledge and experience with Enterprise Performance Management tools, Financial Data Quality Management and OLAP systems preferred
