Career Evolutions is searching for a Director of SEC Reporting for a logistics company headquartered in Phoenix, AZ. Full-time position with compensation up to $135,000 + Bonus and excellent benefits.
Job Title: Director of SEC Reporting
Job Description: You will work closely with all corporate finance departments including FP&A, Treasury, Legal, Tax and operational finance teams as the external auditors. You will analyze issues, leading the team to a conclusion, and working with the external auditors to ensure conclusion of results occur prior to the financial reporting dates, refining internal and external reporting processes, and monitoring and implementation of emerging GAAP and SEC reporting requirements. You will prepare various analyses to support external audit and reporting requirements and other ad hoc management reporting/projects.
You will be responsible for Financial Reporting including Securities and Exchange Commission reporting, such as detailed preparation of quarterly 10Q and annual 10K filings, and supporting work papers. You will assist legal counsel with Proxy Statement and manage the XBRL tagging process.
In addition, you will prepare, verify, and distribute financial results and other supporting analysis of the organization’s Quarterly Operating Results Press Release.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting and/or Finance, MBA and/or CPA preferred
3-7 years of SEC reporting experience
Proficiency in such ERP systems as SAP, Oracle, or similar systems
Hands-on working knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) related to treasury accounting and reporting, and ensure compliance
Knowledge of appropriate regulations, laws and protocols, Financial Accounting Standards Board (FASB), and tax laws and regulations
Knowledge of and ability to communicate issues of economics, accounting and finance to facilitate and aid decision making
