Job Title: Graphic Designer, Production Artist & Manager
Job Description: You will coordinate with R&D, marketing, and production to assist in both conceptual illustrations and artwork for internal presentation, as well as production artwork for final production runs. You will also be responsible for management of production artwork through press print runs at Chinese manufacturing points. This will involve frequent interfacing with outside design agencies, the internal brand marketing department, and China based partners on a daily basis.
You will build and communicate placement guides to inform factories of graphics intentions and expectations, verify and maintain color samples sent from vendor in many different materials, and collaborate with designers and production artists to find manufacture-able solutions for complex design elements. You will give assistance on print and digital based projects including the production of artwork packaging, and provide graphic designs for branding/identity, ads (web & print), brochures, and various other prints.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree in Graphic Design
3-7 years working experience as a Graphic Designer in the CPG industry
Hands-on experience with offset press printing, including the preparation and management of files for production output (including offset printing, color proofing, inks, trapping methodologies, etc.).
Expert in Adobe Creative Suite, primarily Adobe Illustrator for production artwork, and Photoshop to assist with conceptual designs and presentations
CAD and 3D experience a plus
Experience with project and production management including meeting timelines, and carrying out the delivery and optimization of working production files to press
Excellent Graphic Design skills including layout, proportioning, colors, materials, typeface, etc., and how to appropriate them within the constraints of physical packages
Excellent creative mindset mixed with a strong logic understanding and attention to detail
Comfortable working in a loosely-structured, self-guided work culture, taking ownership of assigned tasks, and self-managing
Ability to handle multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and turn projects around quickly
