Job Description

Responsibilities Include
Primary responsibility is to acquire new business within accounts that have not previously or are not currently doing business with the Company.
Maintain and routinely update business customer profile information.
Work with customers to understand their telecommunication and data product and service requirements. Provide assistance to customers in designing telecommunications products or data systems to best meet existing or future business requirements.
Work with Sales Engineers, technicians and other sales team personnel to develop system designs and provide price quotes. Sell customers on the value of the Company products and services to overcome objections.
Complete all administrative tasks as required to ensure timely and accurate records of customer related activities. Develop and maintain strong customer relationships. Conduct retention and "win-back" activities as required.
Write, submit, and deliver proposals and presentations - Presenting an integrated solution-centered approach to customers
Create, evaluate, and revise account plans, Identify growth opportunities to expand business and create strategic alliances to win support - Apply technical knowledge – with an emphasis on data solutions.
 Responsible for developing sales in the designated target market(s) by identifying new sales opportunities with prospective enterprise customers headquartered in the region by cold calling, premise visits, networking, lead generation, proposal submission, and customer appointments.
 Develop and implement sales plans that provide clearly defined strategies, tactics and timeframes to maximize revenue. Take ownership of the geographic territory designated by management.
 After winning new business, manages customer relationships in order to gain strategic positioning with decision makers, retain existing revenue and obtain additional business.
 Utilize Salesforce.com to provide accurate and detailed weekly forecast funnel of identified and proposed opportunities in order to meet or exceed sales quota requirements.

Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Business, Sales or Marketing or related area or the equivalent in training and experience
Previous experience in telecommunication sales
Knowledge of current and developing communications products and services
Strong Knowledge of Cisco products, Mitel and Avaya products
An understanding of Transport products to include MPLS, Ethernet, SIP, etc.
Ability to demonstrate strong analytical skills and the ability to think strategically in forming sales plans
Ability to build and develop a strong network of local referring business associates in the business communities served
Willing to participate in local Chamber activities and business organizations
