Description Currently looking for a Senior Application Support Engineer to join an IT Operations team that supports our corporate production systems and web applications (MS, Windows, IIS/MS SQL).  Our engineers are talented, inspired and driven, not only to support our users, but tune and optimize the performance of our systems and applications.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following.   
  • Production support of the company website and applications.
  • Support the various application to respond to requests for optimization, tuning, monitoring, resolving issues and to support applications functionality
  • Support the Release Management process in a SOX compliant environment
  • Participate in the on-call rotation
  • 5+ years’ experience working in a production support / high-availability environment
  • 5+ years troubleshooting and/or programming (combined experience)
  • Windows Application Support experience (Level/Tier 2)
  • Experience supporting applications running on IIS & SQL Server
  • Sound understanding of relational database concepts Database querying experience (TSQL/PLSQL)
  • Able to troubleshoot ddls, dml, dcl, stored procedures, triggers for SQL Server 2005-2012) 
  • Strong understanding of Web technologies and Internet protocols (including HTTP, FTP and SSL and TCP/IP)
  • Familiarity with Java/J2EE (including: JSP/Servlet administration of Tomcat JRUN Apache Web Server. MySQL)
  • Scripting experience (VBScript, JavaScript, Perl, Bash, Shell etc.)
  • Ability to multi-task between several projects and complete them on time
  • Strong desire to contribute to a VERY exciting company's success
  • Must be dependable, self-motivated, highly ethical, reliable and able to work with minimum direction in a team
  • Must be able to make sound judgments and use a common sense approach to dealing with issues or personnel
  • Excellent troubleshooting, problem-solving, communication and interpersonal skills, along with patience, a positive, customer-friendly attitude and the ability to work in a team environment
  • May be required to work long hours under pressure while resolving critical issues.
  • Provide on call and remote support as needed
  • Knowledge of SharePoint administration
Nice to Have/s
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or a comparable computer systems related discipline preferred
  • SQL optimizations
  • SDLC, documentation, writing unit test cases
  • Working knowledge of Java/C++, VB/ASP/COM, XHTML/DHTML/XML, VBScript, Silverlight, JavaScript/Jscript
  • SAP Basis or Security   
  • Telecom application knowledge
  • Familiarity with Object Oriented Programming,.NET, Java, C++
