Civil / Mechanical / Environmental Engineer (Mid-Level)

This an excellent opportunity to utilize existing technical proficiencies while also expanding your skill set, mentoring junior staff and managing technical tasks and smaller projects. In this role, you will be managing multi disciplinary projects with budgets ranging from $5,000 up to $150,000 which may include anything from permitting (gas collection piping systems, landfill gas flare systems, foundations) to preparation of construction level bid documents (engineering plans, technical specifications and cost estimates).
 
Qualifications:
The successful individual will possess the following skills, knowledge, abilities and experience:
 
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil, Mechanical, or Environmental Engineering
  • 5 - 10 years experience in engineering projects
  • Solid technical skills in one or more of the following fields: piping, drainage, foundations, environmental, grading and construction management
  • Relevant design and permitting experience
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Experience with the solid waste industry a plus
  • Willingness and capabilities to mentor and lead junior staff
  • Registered Professional Engineer or have the ability to obtain registration within 1 year of hire
  • Knowledge of Computer-Aided Design drafting software
  • Outstanding knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Positive attitude
  • Valid driver's license
