Description Job Summary

This position is responsible for providing support both to instructors and students during AnyWare events. Activities include coordinating and supporting preparation activities, responding to reported problems during the event, and support of remote learners. Other activities include producing of various Taster and ICE sessions.  The incumbent will maintain a close working relationship with other course producers, Operations Lab, Remote Support Technicians, Education Center Lab Technicians, AnyWare Development team and Instructor Relations

Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate orientation/training with the assigned instructor prior to the event.
  • Participate in and/or conduct instructor training (new or refresher) prior to event.
  • Participate in and/or conduct practice and collaboration of each course activity.
  • Assist with classroom layout for event.
  • Ensure job aids and training documents are available in the classroom.
  • Provide technical support during the event to remote attendees and instructor particularly during course activities using the various applications and whiteboard.
  • Troubleshoot all remote attendee concerns and issues; collaborate and incorporate Customer Service in Op Unit as appropriate.
  • Assist instructor with introducing the various collaboration tools (i.e. whiteboard) to both in class and remote attendees.
  • Participate in all post course discussions/reviews.
  • Provide a daily recap and a complete written summary at the end of each event.
  • Also provides technical support and set up assistance in the Toronto and Ottawa area education centers.
  • Other duties as assigned.

 
Qualifications and Skills:

Minimum of high school diploma, Bachelor’s degree preferred, Experience with VMWare and Adobe Acrobat Connect is highly desirable. Minimum two (2) years experience as a technician or help desk position. Excellent customer service skills required. Candidate must be capable of working with minimal supervision and demonstrate superior team skills. This person must be able to perform in a fast paced, high volume environment. Exceptional verbal and written communications are needed.  Must be able to easily travel to our other Education Centers, i.e. Ottawa Education Center and possibly New York.
