|Description||This is a new product development position. Mechanical Designer is responsible for detail design and drafting of assemblies and sub-assemblies used in measurement radar applications. This person will use Pro/ENGINEER to design, detail and produce production documentation packages for mobile and stationary radar measurement systems. A thorough knowledge of drafting standards, bill of materials and engineering change processes is required. The Mechanical Designer will work with mechanical and electrical engineers in completing tasks required to commence production. This includes creating drawings using Pro/ENGINEER, developing and applying drafting standard practices, preparing BOMs, preparing assembly instructions and manufacturing support.
1. Using Pro/ENGINEER model, detail and document mechanical systems such as trailer-mounted radar systems, pedestals, scanners and other radar assemblies
2. Coordinate with senior mechanical and electrical engineers in designing components to be used in higher level mechanical systems.
3. Participate as a mechanical engineering representative in program meetings.
4. Conduct product line maintenance duties such as engineering changes, production troubleshooting and BOM creation.

|Required Skills||Required Education
Associates Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent relative experience with an emphasis on machine design or manufacturing
Minimum 5 years experience in a manufacturing environment
Minimum of 3 years using Pro/ENGINEER
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
