The role of the DRS Technical Analyst II will be to work with Project Managers, Business Consultants, Business Analysts, Development, QA, internal Business Partners and Clients to understand gathered requirements and system specifications. The Technical Analyst will facilitate the development of functional and technical software design, activity workflow diagrams, use case creation and screen mockups.  The TA is responsible for visual walkthroughs of the proposed solution design, and must be able to clearly articulate the solution from both a technical and business perspective.  This position will also provide technical support throughout the project implementation life cycle, and be able to quickly adapt to sudden changes in project scope and unexpected requests that come from the Client.
  • Determine and document all possible integrations with both internal/external networks and products
  • Create and maintain all design documentation including Workflow Activity Diagrams, Functional Designs, Use Cases, Lookup Tables, Role Based Security, Screen Mockups, Data Mappings, and Technical Integration documentation
  • Facilitate Development and QA review sessions of proposed software design and enhancements
  • Support for pre -“go-live” and actual “go-live” events, including the facilitation of  EPC handoffs of client support
  • Participate in Change Request (CR) estimations and Level Of Effort (LOE) gathering, solution proposals and accompanying documentation
  • Facilitate necessary configuration changes of approved CR’s; including documentation creation, implementation and UAT activity and post production validation
  • Provides documentation and reports as required by the Project Manager and TA Management
  • Responds as necessary to unplanned requests, projects and critical issues as solution SME
  • Other assignments as may be provided
 
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written) with a demonstrated ability to effectively communicate with all levels of client and internal organizations
  • Ability to assess client information and data effectively to determine applicability to project deliverables
  • Ability to work efficiently to meet project plan deadlines
  • Excellent listening and interpretation skills in addition to strong reasoning, and analytical skills
  • Ability to think and work independently as well as in a team environment
  • Travel up to 10% may be required to visit client sites
  • Ability to support additional hours as needed for implementation support or change request activity
