This is an entry-level position that requires expertise and knowledge in the discipline of Information Technology. A college level candidate seeking a degree in information technology, computer science, engineering or equivalent military experience and training.
Job duties include but are not limited to the following:
•Support the attainment of organization and department business goals
•Provide research, development, and analysis support to meet various BCBSF departments’ business needs, products, and processes
•Perform accurate and timely research, data collection, analysis, verification, and reporting of data or information
Work under minimal supervision and adapt to a dynamic, changing environment
Competencies, skills, education level, years of experience, etc.
•Prefer student enrolled in a Computer Science or Information Technology program
•Equivalent Military experience and/or training will be considered.
•Cumulative 3.0 or better GPA
•Excellent interpersonal skills
•Strong analytical skills
•Good time management skills
Job Requirements: Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
•Install software applications and upgrades on desktop computers and servers.
•Familiarity with Computer Science Principles.
•Make decisions, solve problems, resolve conflicts, exercise resourcefulness, and prioritize tasks to meet a variety of demands.
•Manage completion of small, short-term projects.
•Knowledge of Windows Desktop Operating Systems – XP SP III and Windows 7
•Knowledge of Windows Server Operating Systems - 2003, 2008 and 2012
•Knowledge of Linux/Unix Command Line
•Microsoft Office 2007 and 2010 applications including Outlook, Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Project and Visio.
