|Description||The Senior Software Engineer Embedded will participate in design, implementation and test of multi-target tracking radar systems. The engineer will be primarily responsible for software and firmware development in embedded applications, but may also contribute to other areas of software development (e.g, radar control software, user interface). Senior Software Engineer typically reports to an engineering manager and often provides technical direction to fellow engineers. The Senior Software Engineer Embedded will have responsibility for the embedded development environment.

1. Designs, develops and tests computer and embedded software
2. Analyzes requirements, identifies required work and estimates development tasks
3. Works in conjunction with hardware and systems engineering teams to ensure system meets operational requirements
4. Creates product documentation inputs for technical writers
5. Other duties as required.

|Required Skills||Required Education
Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent
Minimum 5 years related professional software development experience
Minimum 2 years experience with C development in embedded environment
Minimum 3 years experience with development of built in test and diagnostics
|Optional Skills||Preferred Qualifications
Three years experience with Xilinx Microblaze software processor development
Embedded systems experience
Xilinx FPGA toolset experience (e.g. ISE, EDA, SDK)
Familiarity with VHDL, development
Familiarity with digital signal processing (complex signals, decimation, windowing, FFT, filtering
Familiarity with RF, electromagnetic theory
Multi-threaded real-time systems
Experience or training in object oriented (OO) design and development
System firmware debugging
Excellent understanding of embedded system development methodologies for RTOS
Microsoft Visual Studio 2008 or more recent, Visual C++
