JOB DESCRIPTION
• Partner with colleagues to develop, execute and maintain an information management strategy for customers (financial); specifically focusing on a SharePoint-based infrastructure to access enterprise tools and content across multiple form factors
• Participate in and sometimes lead discussions and technical reviews. Contribute innovative ideas and recognize potential issues in their own solution and others. Work collaboratively within the department and across the enterprise to provide premium technology solutions and support services to asset managers
• Work collaboratively with hosting management group to ensure applications and integrations operate seamlessly. Provide QA and validation services after hardware upgrades and software patching
• Develop and apply operational processes that include best practices in change management, release management, testing, quality assurance and administrative support. Ensure all processes are properly documented, accurate and up-to-date
• Provide technical and customer support for reporting platform and its integration with SharePoint
• Serve as technical lead for SharePoint platform infrastructure, administration, application development and user access. Responsible for routine/minor customizations and support requests and well as larger, complex development initiatives
• Work with team to understand and document business needs, identify and evaluate alternatives, prepare accurate work estimates and implement appropriate solutions. Ability to work independently, with only moderate guidance
• Lead the design, development and support effort for an intuitive graphical user interface used as the main navigation for access to publications, tools and data
• Install, configure and test new features as part of the SharePoint Platform including content management, workflows (e.g. approval requests), integration with MS Office, document metadata, forms and other features
• Responsible for identification and resolution of production and other operational issues
• Govern and manage SharePoint content; prevent content sprawl (e.g. my-site pages, department portals)
• Leverage features in Windows Server 2008 R2 and SharePoint 2010 to more efficiently manage user security and audit management
• Setup and work with the risk team to perform and aid with the vulnerability and penetration testing against the SharePoint/Hyperion/Spotfire platform/environments
• Work closely with various vendors and external consultants to implement new technologies. Manage relationships with IT colleagues, foreign partner groups, and other consulting groups
 
QUALIFICATIONS
• BA/BS degree
• Overall experience required: 8-10 years:
• WSS 2,3, MOSS 2007, SharePoint 2010 management, deployment and administration (5+ years)
• Microsoft Windows Server Platforms 2000-2008 R2
• SQL server 7, 2000 or 2005 database administration (4+ years)
• Team project management (3+ years)
• Reporting applications, software, administration, report creation
• ASP.Net application and code development (4+ years)
• Visual Studio 2005, 2008 development project and code management, (4+ years)
• IIS 4,5, 6, and 7 administration (4+ years)
• Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
• Excellent oral and written communication skills, customer service oriented
• Strong organization and time management skills, attention to detail
• Ability to work effectively independently and within a team environment
• Thrives in a fast paced work environment
