The Durability Test Engineer's duties consist of the following:
Root cause analysis/diagnosing issues, including Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTC's), reporting and documenting issues, writing work orders, presenting information both written and verbal, participating in meetings, facilitating meetings, using diagnostic equipment, collecting and analyzing data, hands-on vehicle diagnosis/evaluations, directing mechanics and technicians.The Durabilty Engineer must work well independently and in team settings. Needs to be self-directed, self-sufficient and assist others as required. He/she must possess the ability to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineer from and accredited university/college or Technology equivalent
  • High level understanding of vehicle electrical architectures Including CAN bus messaging and ability to diagnose hardware, software and wiring issues
  • Effective verbal and written communcation skills with the ability to deal with a variety of people at all levels of the organization
  • Ability to collect and synthesize data into meaningful information and communicate clearly to all levels of the organization
  • Self-directed, team oriented with demonstrated planning/problem solving skills
  • Experience and working knowledge of computer systems and software required
  • Proficient in Microsoft (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Demonstrated ability for planning, prioritizing and goal setting
  • Knowledge of vehicle systems (Power train, BIW, Exterior, Interior, Chassis, Electrical)
  • Hands-on vehicle experience
  • Diagnostic tool experience (CANanlyzer/DC Plot a plus)
  • Motivated by challenges and changes

  • Valid driver's license required to drive company vehicles at CPG
