Sales Representative
 
The Sales Representative is accountable to manage, maintain and develop physician office laboratory relationships that leads to increased revenue and customer loyalty in an assigned territory.  The Sales Representative is to identify, qualify and put into practice strategic sales and marketing plans to expand the market share through new sales, upsell efforts, customer retention and field sales and service activities.
 
The Sales Representative is the prime liaison for med fusion/Clear Point Diagnostics and its laboratory clients or potential clients.  The major challenge of the Sales Representative is to manage the total sales revenue of a given territory in a manner that will result in minimal attrition and maximum sales growth.  The Sales Representative will routinely meet with physicians, nurses, office managers, laboratory nursing home personnel, and other parties in attempting to improve loyalty among their client base and procure business. 
 
The Sales Representative will report all sales and service related activity through our Customer Relationship Management (CRM) tool.  The information provided will be monitored on a real time basis and reports will be generated that reflect the status of sales activity, client issues, opportunities and overall territory disposition.  The Sales Representative seeks management assistance in resolving problems that cannot be solved through traditional means.
 
Responsibilities:
  • Meet new sales revenue targets and sales call projections per the projects monthly and annual plan.
  • Call on all existing accounts to increase volume and broaden use of service by promoting tests and services. 
  • Make routine service calls on all clients in a systematic manner using the following classification system: (Primary clients, Secondary clients, and transactional
  • Minimize at risk accounts and immediately inform the Director of Sales of any anticipated issues. 
  • Maintain accurate and up to date records of sales and prospecting activities including but not limited to all sales and marketing calls, presentations, proposals and follow up within the assigned territory using the CRM. 
  • Territory Management Reports:  Base Business, Pipeline, Funnel Report, Weekly Call Planning
  • Complete Prospect Information Worksheet and sales call plan/green sheet as required with Clear Point Diagnostics client set up activities and ensure accuracy of information.   
  • Maintain appropriate level of sales related funnel activity per individual Annual Goals and Performance Reporting document.
  • Follow up promptly on all leads and inquiries.
  • Adhere to all company policies, procedures and business ethics codes.
  • Assist with billing related issues such as past due amounts from clients.
  • Return and/ or acknowledge all calls received within 24 hours.
  • Meet educational goals (24 hours per year) and attend all sales training and other required team events. 
 
This position has significant freedom to act with little or no supervision and the Director of Sales provides the general policies/guidelines that guide the actions of the incumbent.
  • Bachelor degree in Medical Technology, Marketing or related field preferred. 
  • minimum of five years related work in the health care field is required.   Previous physician office sales OR hospital selling experience AND marketing experience is necessary.
  • Substantial interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.  Knowledge of the laboratory operation is required along with computer literacy in Word, Excel and CRM applications.  A high level of professionalism and the ability to exercise sound independent judgment in addition to a high degree of initiative and resourcefulness required. 
  • Proficient in sales and marketing skills.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Prior record of successful revenue production in previous healthcare related sales positions.
  • History of integrity and professional ethics.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license.
