Accounts Receivable Clerk
We are seeking an experienced accounting professional to prepare manual invoices, post cash, reconcile billing and cash files to the general ledger and prepare various schedules and commission payments. Your keen eye for the details will be crucial as we will rely on you to thoroughly check and double check your work.

  • Review payments verifying there are no discrepancies
  • Enter monthly Centerpoint invoices
  • Post cash received from Centerpoint customers
  • Prepare various gross margin schedules
  • Cross-train with others on the Accounting team
  • Prepare commission payment schedules
  • Work with EIS programming team on new market set-up and testing, report and system enhancements, data analysis and accuracy, etc.
  • Recommend process improvements and automation, especially related to the invoice and cash posting process
Our ideal candidate will be self-confident but not aggressive in their approach to others and will excel at working with different types of personalities. Experience, skills and attributes that will enable you to be successful in this position include:
  • 3+ years of AR experience with preparing and reviewing invoices, posting cash, reconciliations, etc.
  • Strong Excel skills and experience working with large amounts of data are essential
  • Peachtree experience a plus
  • Extremely detail-oriented and accurate
  • Ability to work independently and multi-task
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Natural gas and/or power experience a huge plus
