Description At Loftin Equipment, we have been in the business of selling and servicing generators, engines, pumps and related outdoor power and commercial equipment since 1977. Account Manager – Consumer Sales
Utilizing your relationship building and leadership skills, we will rely on you to be responsible for the day-to-day sales of consumer products which include residential, marine, and mobile. You will also be responsible for establishing and maintaining a dealer network for all above markets as well as the industrial market.
  • Distribute quotes as required to customers.
  • Help customers and employees with product specifications, model numbers, and pricing about company products.  
  • Prepare weekly call reports and keep company database updated with new business contact, quotes, and sales. 
  • Communicate with both the inside sales support position and our service department.
  • Work closely with the inside estimator/project manager to ensure customers are handled in the proper manner.
  • Report to the Consumer Sales Manager and work closely with them in developing marketing and stocking programs for the dealer base.
  • Oversee OEM sales in the mobile and marine markets which will involve calling on manufacturers using generators in the product they manufacture.
  • Manage a sales territory established by the Consumer Sales Manager.
  • Attend trade shows as needed.
  • Conduct dealer and training meetings as needed.
The successful candidate will possess the following abilities, attributes, experience and skills:
  • Bachelor’s degree; or 2-5 years sales experience and/or training.
  • Thorough knowledge of industry product and sales information.
  • Bilingual in Spanish is beneficial.
  • Ability and willingness to travel between 25%-50% of the time. 
  • Read, analyze and interpret scientific and technical journals, financial reports and legal documents. Respond to inquiries or complaints from customers, agencies or members of the business community. Write speeches and articles for publication.
  • Calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference and volume. Apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
  • Define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions. Interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
  • Competent in the use of Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Great Plains experience beneficial.
  • Ability to travel throughout the organization’s territory to manage and keep up with customer relations.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
