Description SUMMARY

The Test Development Engineer is responsible for designing, procuring and integrating Characterization/Final Test solutions for the purpose of testing RF/Wireless Integrated Circuits.

 ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
  • Design Test Hardware using general purpose RF and Analog test equipment specific to the RFICs test spec and customer’s application.
  • Working with design groups, generate test plans to insure maximum outgoing quality levels to customer applications.
  • Develop, design, and debug test software for the purpose of automating Final Test/Characterization Test Hardware.
  • Develop and design test software using the HP84000 RFIC Tester and LTX Tester.
  • Integrate automated device handlers and probers into test solutions using HP84000 and LTX CX/MX software, Visual Basic Lab View or Lab Windows software.
  • Work with Test Technicians to fabricate designed test solutions.
  • Design and develop RF testing fixturing solutions for Final Test of Packaged RF integrated circuits.


Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
Ability to apply advanced mathematical concepts such as exponents, logarithms, quadratic equations, and permutations. Ability to apply mathematical operations to such tasks as frequency distribution, determination of test reliability and validity, analysis of variance, correlation techniques, sampling theory, and factor analysis.
Required Skills EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
•BSEE , BS Physics or equivalent.
•5+ Years of RF/Microwave or Analog/Mixed Signal Test Design experience.
•3+ Years Test Software Design (Visual Basic/C/C++, UNIX, HPVEE).
