Career Evolutions is searching for a top performing Vice President, Information Technology (VP IT) for a leading B2B marketing company in Phoenix AZ, with salary up to $175,000 plus bonus.
Role Description:
·         Lead the IT department’s operational and strategic planning, including fostering innovation, organizing and planning projects and negotiating the allocation of resources
·         Lead IT strategic and operational planning to achieve business goals by fostering innovation, prioritizing IT initiatives, and coordinating the evaluation, deployment, and management of current and future IT systems across the organization.
·         Establish IT departmental goals, objectives, and operating procedures.  Develops metrics to link IT performance and business goals.
·         Oversees core application development and support activities to ensure timely and strategic development of applications that facilitate the business operations
·         Works with the rest of the executive team to help craft the overall business strategy and financial plan for the organization, linking IT investments to key business drivers.
·         In concert with the other members of the IT organization, defines the hardware, software, networking, telephony and security architecture, aligning foundational capabilities to support business plans.
·         Develop, track, and control the information technology annual operating and capital budgets.
·         Structures, leads and develops IT staff for maximum effectiveness.
·         Analyzes complex business needs presented by internal and external customers, and leads the IT teams to determine appropriate and profitable technical solutions
·         Ensures the consistency and maintainability of existing and new applications by enforcing standards/procedures that support the organization and its mission.
·         Assess and make recommendations on the improvement or re-engineering of the IT organization.
·         Develops plans and initiatives to achieve target architecture and provides oversight to projects.
·         MBA/MS or equivalent experience required.
·         At least 10 years of experience in the IT arena.
·         At least 5 years in a strategic leadership role, with direct responsibility and accountability of IT budget
·         Through writing or spoken word, able to effectively express ideas and information using language that is appropriate to both the complexity of the topic and the knowledge and understanding of the audience
·         Possesses technical and application knowledge across all areas of technology, including .NET Development, data warehousing, Business Intelligence, SQL Server, Microsoft Development environments and VoiceOver IP networking.
·         Proven understanding of desired results and effective systems that can achieve the goals of the team and the organization
·         Able to be visionary in the application of technology to improve services and productivity
·         Able to make recommendations to effectively resolve problems or issues, by using judgment that is consistent with standards, practices, policies, procedures, regulation or government law
·         Able to research, interpret, and report on market/business trends for the purpose of formulating policy and strategy
·         Ability to clearly articulate business decision drivers, costs and benefits with senior executives and decision makers
·         Ability to integrate technology into the workplace and improve program effectiveness in an efficient and cost-effective way
·         Ability to make effective decisions and achieve desired results in the midst of major change
·         Skilled at increasing performance and results through leadership and motivation
·         Skilled at combining ideas in unique ways or making connections between disparate ideas
·         Skilled at leading others to question established work processes or assumptions and challenging them to ask "why" until cause is discovered
