Novus Origo is seeking a Business Developer / Capture Manager who will be responsible for developing and executing the key capture strategies required to secure opportunities in our government sector service areas. This position will be located in the San Diego, CA area.
The Novus Origo Capture Manager will be responsible for the orchestration of bid strategies, the development of technical and management approaches, developing teaming opportunities, and the formulation of highly competitive responses to opportunities within our government sector service areas. The Capture Manager will drive the opportunity from the capture decision to contract award, and will also be responsible for closing deals on already identified targeted opportunities for new and existing business opportunities.

|Required Skills||To be considered for this position, candidates must minimally meet the knowledge, skills, and abilities listed below:
-Proven experience capturing large prime opportunities.
-Must have experience and understand DoD contracts and operations, project management, and technical proposal development processes.
-Understanding of and experience with the federal procurement process and regulations.
-Ability to work in a fast-paced environment requiring coordination and collaboration with coworkers, teaming partners, leverage teams, and company leadership.
-Experience interacting with Senior Government officials and procurement officers.
-Strong knowledge of IT products, and consulting services.
-Strong communication, organization, and time management skills.
-Solid problem solving and consultative skills.
-Proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) is required.
-Outstanding written and oral communications skills, including the ability to cultivate and develop relationships with Federal managers to effectively communicate Novus Origo’s value proposition and to help facilitate sales growth.
-Ability to edit and proofread documents with meticulous attention to detail.
Additional Desired Skills:
-Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution and six (6+) years of experience within the Federal Government market is required.
-Proactively identify and obtain opportunities, intelligence and other assets in the development of contract awards.
-Perform strategic capture planning and proposal leadership, including coordinating and managing all proposal activities for a given solicitation including responding to RFPs, RFQs, and RFIs from the government or other customers; creating draft SOWs, and presentations for customers.
-Perform business development, including developing and maintaining contact with top decision makers at key clients, building teaming relationships, organizing and leading capture teams, participating and leading aspects of the proposal development process, and contributing to proposal pricing strategy.
-Develop and manage proposal outline, integrate win themes and discriminators, craft solutions & summaries, create success stories, compliance matrix and schedule in order to provide compliant and compelling proposal responses.
-Conceptualize, develop and integrate graphics to convey concepts and proposed solutions.
-Schedule, conduct and/or participate in proposal reviews and kick-offs.
-Control the configuration version and quality of the proposal in the development and production phases; including printing and assembling the finished document s and/or electronic submittals.
-Attend win/loss debriefings and develop lessons learned.
-Prepare briefing for sales and contract management including the development and delivery of progress reports as needed.
-Ability to multi-task and work both independently and in teams within tight timeframes to meet multiple deadlines and deliver solutions at both the strategic and detailed task level.
-Demonstrate a willingness to work hard to achieve the highest quality results.
