  • Preparing for the IIBA CCBA Certified Exam
  • Preparing for the CASP - Advanced Security Professional Practitioner Exam
  • Achieving ISO/IEC 20000 Foundation Certification
  • Achieving ISO/IEC 20000 Practitioner Certification
  • Achieving ISO/IEC 20000 Auditor Certification
  • Preparing for the CompTIA Advanced Security Practitioner Certification Exam (CASP)
  • Preparing for the MSP Foundation and Practitioner Certification Exams

Responsible for the classroom delivery of Learning Tree courses on a part-time basis (8 – 15+ weeks per year). Provides technical and/or management consulting to Learning Tree clients for the development of their Information Systems and/or management training programs. Assists in the qualification of new instructor candidates. Provides authoring, periodic updating and customization of courses as requested.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  1. Instruction of Learning Tree courses following the course outline.
  2. Assist, as requested, in the marketing of courses to prospective clients by providing technical information regarding course content and technical consulting in the area of client needs analysis.
  3. Communicate any resource/technical assistance requirements to the appropriate Learning Tree staff.
  4. Communicate, as required, with onsite client representatives prior to the class to identify any specific client needs, making suggestions for technical content modifications where required.
  5. Handle all attendee-related administrative matters satisfactorily, prior to, during, and immediately after course completion. Provide feedback to the proper department on any classroom events that may require immediate attention.
  6. Provide technical reviews of class events where content modification may be required prior to subsequent offerings.
  7. Conduct technical interviews to qualify new instructor candidates, and mentor new instructors during their candidacy process.
  8. Set up all required computer equipment for courses. Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds.

Certification Exam Instructors must possess the following:
  • Current Certification in the content area for which they are applying 
  • Excellent communication skills and hands-on technical experience and expertise
  • Enthusiasm for the subject matter
  • Ability to present and enliven non-interactive material
  • Identify, incorporate and adjust to a variety of participant learning styles
  • Strong interpersonal and classroom facilitation skills
  • Optimistically coach and mentor for exam success
  • Effective time management skills
  • Knowledge of current trends in content areA
  • Ability to manage a class of participants with mixed knowledge levels
In addition: 

  • Must demonstrate thorough technical and subject matter knowledge and experience through subject matter interviews, course audits, co-teach events and ,classroom instructor training
  • A four year college degree or higher is desired,
  • Must submit a copy of all certifications with resume,
  • Must have prior teaching experience, and
  • Must be available and willing to travel.
