Job Description

Conexess Group has a current need for a programmer analyst with a QA background to join the our Charlotte, NC team.

As a Member of the team, this Programmer Analyst position performs a range of QA & software testing as well as providing support to internal staff as needed. Tasks include a progressive regression testing which uses defined industry tools that identify changes within SQL databases and errors within Microsoft .Net applications.

The position is also responsible for management and automation of nightly software builds from Microsoft TFS.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 1+ years of experience with supporting a QA / Software testing environment
  • 6 months of experience with HP UFT and ALM 
  • Experience running automated regression
  • Familiar with Financial Institutions

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience with VB Script
  • PowerShell scripting
  • VMware ESXI
  • Microsoft Windows Server Administration
  • Software Testing certification
  • Bachelor's degree within MIS
  • Experience providing support during nights and weekends.

The Opportunity

Within the first few months, you Will Be Expected to:

  • Learn the day-to-day tasks that include , but are not limited to
    • Database regression schedule
      • HP UFT & ALM
    • Database Compare
      • Redgate
  • Provide support for internal staff when software encounters an error during database upgrade
  • Installation of nightly builds in lab environment
  • Provide Manual Builds out of TFS when necessary
  • Adhere to stringent security, change/configuration management procedures and policies

Within the first six months, you Will Be Expected to:

  • Expand on the existing regression tests to include new areas of the system
  • Automate existing manual processes
  • Properly estimate work efforts and technical challenges
  • Work with technical design and engineering staff as needed

Within the first year, you Will Be Expected to:

  • Document process and procedures
  • Assist in the development of tools and procedures related to QA testing
  • QA testing automation & documentation
  • Integrate QA testing for all ancillary proprietary financial software systems
  • As you learn the position, you will become more independent in developing business test cases by learning the business side of the financial industry
