Responsibilities:
  • Take broad, conceptual ideas and turn them into something useful and valuable for our thousands of users
  • Develop features, enhancements and new products to support our systems
  • Perform bug fixes and support for legacy systems
  • Research new technology and best practices to maintain Wort Institute’s completive edge
 
Key Skills:
  • 3+ years developing web applications utilizing C#, ASP.NET, MVC, jQuery, JavaScript, CSS, HTML
  • 3+ years hands on experience with Microsoft SQL Server and SQL
  • Experience with Entity Framework or other ORM technologies
  • Experience with REST based API development with XML/JSON
  • Familiarity with version control systems, preferably Git
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, highly-iterative and collaborative environment
  • Expertise writing stored procedures, functions, batch queries, transactional queries, dynamic queries and automation
  • Performance troubleshooting of applications, databases, servers, hardware and networks
 
Abilities:
  • Ability to work with peers in a highly collaborative, fast-paced environment
  • Strong ability to learn quickly and adapt to change
  • Strong listening, detail-oriented thinking, and creative problem solving skills
  • Experience working within an Agile/Scrum environment
  • Experience creating technical documentation
  • Willingness to assist in training and mentoring less experienced peers
  • Experience contributing to internal process improvement
  • Experience working with a product development team
