PRIMARY FUNCTION / POSITION SUMMARY: 

The Operations Program Management team is responsible for providing logistical and organizational support of Agency initiatives through the development and improvement of processes as well as the coordination of process implementation. The maintenance, elevation and conservation of both new and established Agency practices and business operations is also a key element of this team's mandate.
 
The Operations Program Manager must have experience in managing complex projects/ programs and have the flexibility and skill to wear many hats. The Operations Program Manager will support initiatives that help make the Agency run more efficiently and effectively in order to meet Client needs.      
 
 
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITES / PRINICIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:  
The Operations Program Manager will support a multitude of internal and external Clients and provide unique expertise in the following five areas within the client, including:
 
Program Management 
  • Provide program management support of Agency initiatives throughout project lifecycle utilizing project management standards, processes, templates, and tools.
  • Provide recommendations to Management on improvements to these standards and processes based on feedback obtained during their use.
  • Provide subject matter expertise in project management processes and methodology.
 
Process and Organizational Integration 
  • Analyze and optimize existing and develop unestablished department-level procedures and ensures integration with Agency-level processes, standards and objectives.
  • Support the development and maintenance of new organizational and project management process, template and reference documentation.
  • Implement tasks that support Agency Operations.
 
Training and Relationship Building
  • Manage and support the development and implementation of enterprise-level processes, tools and organizational change to support Agency efficiencies and evolution.
  • Guide and mentor Agency on new processes and Operations best practices.
  • Build relationships in different team environments.
  • Extend network of colleagues beyond immediate working team.
  • Present and explain discipline in any forum.
  • Lead working teams on deep dive analyses and projects.
  • Present developed analytics and POVs to internal and external clients.
  • Provide consultation on measuring within discipline to other internal and external clients.
 
Communication
  • Effectively communicate program status, milestones, risks and issues to stakeholders.
  • Share knowledge base/ subject matter expertise of process development, operational efficiency and project management procedures and methodologies.
