Key Account Manager-Western USA - Medical Device/Channel Partners; Privately held (East Coast based medical company) with established STRONG growth, seeking a medical sales representative. They are looking for top medical sales talent with 3 to 5 years MINIMUM experience selling medical products into the alternate care and/or hospital marketplace by calling upon end users and distributor channel partners (Surgery Centers, Physician Offices, Rehab Centers, Clinics and a plus if someone has a sales background in their growing Acute Care and Hospital-OR market segments).  

The right person must understand how to drive sales through key medical distributors and channel partner sales teams; a previous or current medical distributor background is valued!  Their future is headed into a greater acute care sales focus, centering upon GPO and IDN network as they expand their current product mix. This is a Huge opportunity for career growth for those desiring promotion into Sales Management!  Current Sales Managers in the medical industry are encouraged to apply!

Working under the direction of the National Sales Manager, you will be responsible for growing and preserving the existing customer base while actively negotiating and contracting directly with end users and provider groups.  As the product expert you will partner and train distributors on their line of products and take part in vendor fairs and other promotional activities.
 
 
Position Location and Coverage:
  • San Diego, CA 
  • Western USA Key Account Coverage (AZ, CA, NM, CO, UT, NV, ID, OR, WA)
  • Most business up the Western Coast Seaboard key cities

Compensation:
  • Base 70K to 80K
  • Uncapped Commission at plan: 70K
  • 140K to 150K total at plan
  • $500 monthly Car Allowance, plus miles
  • All reimbursed Travel and Entertainment
  • Full medical, dental benefits with a IRA match

CAREER TIPS:
Required Skills

*MUST have 4 year college degree.
*MUST HAVE Minimum 3 to 5 years of successful medical device sales background.
*MUST HAVE sales experience selling products to and through medical surgical dealers.
*Experience driving national account initiatives through channel partner sales teams to close regional business.
*Consistent DOCUMENTED over quota sales performance
*Resume reflects Job Stability vs. multiple job hopping.
