We are looking for a Software Developer. The expected engagement is 6 month, but may extend on a month to month basis after the initial term.
POSITION SUMMARY: Highly motivated, self-directed Java developer to serve in a technical capacity for building and maintaining software. This position calls for a strong understanding of the Application Lifecycle Management, testing, object-oriented design, and a solid understanding of networking/distributed computing environment concepts.
POSITION QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
Education: Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Computer Science or Math or equivalent industry experience.
Experience: 4+ years Object Oriented programming experience - 4+ years Java development. References are required.
Requirements for the position are as follows:
o Strong hands-on expertise in developing applications in Java
o Development experience with Java Server Faces and JEE (JSP/Servlets)
o Development experience with HTML and JavaScript
o Development experience with Oracle Database and PL/SQL development
o Industry standard source control systems (Subversion/GIT)
o Experience with servlet containers such as Tomcat
Skills and Abilities: which may be representative but not all inclusive of those commonly associated with this position
• Must possess ability to work independently in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
• Must be a team player who understands the importance of teamwork, collaboration, and open communication, including a willingness to occasionally work in a pair-programming environment
• Must possess strong analytical and technical documentation skills
• Must possess ability to effectively present information and respond to questions
• Experience with distributed systems or a large enterprise background is a plus
• Must have an excellent understanding and hands-on experience with design and development best practices
• Must be dedicated to excellence in his/her work; must be detailed-oriented and thorough
• Must have demonstrable achievement in job history
• Must be willing to work overtime, including weekends, when required
• Familiar progressive SDLC automation concepts such as continuous integration
• Must have the desire and experience to implement strong unit and service-level tests
