RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
Systems Engineer who has demonstrated ownership, knowledge, and experience with the delivery and support of core services and applications within an enterprise framework.  Key skillsets include the ability to implement, manage, and troubleshoot the enterprise Microsoft services stack as well as a wide variety of enterprise applications in an environment that utilizes virtualization, automation within a private cloud infrastructure with underlying technologies from VMware, EMC, Cisco, and Microsoft or hosted as a public cloud or SaaS offering.   
                                                                               
Core Services – Design, Implementation, and Administration (50%)
  • Server OS: Windows Server 2008 / 2012.
  • Cloud Services:  Office 365, Azure.
  • Directory Services: Active Directory and DNS/DHCP.
  • Messaging systems:  Exchange / Lync.
  • System Management / Monitoring tools: System Center (SCCM/SCOM) / WSUS.
  • Remote Access: RDS / UAG-TMG.
Core Applications – Design, Implementation, and Administration (20%)
  • Application portal:  Citrix XenApp.
  • Phone Systems: ShoreTel VOIP.
  • Data Movement: MoveIT Central / DMZ.
  • File / Print Services:  Xerox MFP / NFS Shares / DFS.
  • Data Capture systems: ITSM / ePowerCenter / FLS / HFM
Operational Excellence – System Reporting and Maintenance (15%)
  • Perform routine maintenance on all systems to ensure security compliance and system health.
  • Perform regular reporting on key system metrics to maintain enterprise system health.
  • Administrate Windows desktop environment using BDD, AD group policy, SCCM, and other tools.
  • Maintain accurate documentation for all supported applications and enterprise systems.
  • Perform ongoing business continuity and disaster recovery testing to ensure information availability.
Operational Support – System Troubleshooting and End-User Support (15%) 
  • Respond to down server, application, or system situations as appropriate.
  • Respond to alerts generated by monitoring systems to ensure enterprise system health.
  • Perform root cause analysis of major system outages.
 
QUALIFICATIONS                                               
  • Bachelor’s Degree in related field or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years demonstrated Microsoft enterprise stack experience.
  • Advanced Technical Certification (MCITP) or equivalent experience.
  • Advanced scripting experience (MS PowerShell).
  • Ability to cover 24x7 on rotational basis and to work monthly downtimes.
