General Summary:
The Business Analyst I will oversee project management and business issues related to Medicaid program implementations and enhancements including, but not limited to, business requirements, workflow analysis, problem solving, policy review, and training development.
 
Education
∙ A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree is required or equivalent work experience.
 
Experience
∙ 3 years work related project management or operational experience required
∙ 5 years of health insurance or Medicaid industry preferred
∙ Experience with developing work flows and business processes
∙ Experience documenting and developing business requirements Skills/Certifications
∙ Advanced knowledge of MS Word, Excel, Visio, Access and MS Project
∙ PMP certification preferred – THIS IS NOT NEEDED
∙ Knowledge of FACETS and/or Care Advance preferred
∙ Previous experience working with government programs or in government business contracts
∙ Excellent written and oral communication skills
∙ Excellent listening and interpersonal skills
∙ Keen attention to detail
∙ Ability to conduct research into health plan operational issues as required
∙ Ability to communicate ideas in both technical and user-friendly language
∙ Highly self motivated and directed
∙ Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment
∙ Strong customer service orientation

Responsibilities:
∙ Develop policies, procedures, forms, workflows and other organizational tools to implement and manage health plan operations.
∙ Develop and produce business requirements, business processes, operational guidelines and workflows.
∙ Collect information to analyze and evaluate existing or proposed solutions.
∙ Review, evaluate and implement recommendations for improved methods and procedures.
∙ Conduct and document research on operational systems to determine if they meet the needs of the business users.
∙ Assist with RFP / RFI responses.
∙ Enterprise-wide project management coordination activities.
∙ Contract review, oversight, and requirements documentation.
∙ Document project and system issues for solution development and implementation.
∙ Any other duties as assigned by management.
∙ Travel required as dictated by project activities and schedules.
