Job Description
Support assigned software products. Assists team with all aspects of installation, testing, and maintenance for the software packages. Monitor applications’ performance and integrity to ensure services provided meet or exceed internal and external customer expectations.
Responsibilities- Provides operational support activities for all instances of assigned application(s) regardless of the environment (Training, Disaster Recovery, Bench Mark, Development, QA, P-Stage, and Production).
- Supports team in support of coordination, programming and implementation of releases, upgrades, or changes to the applications.
- Ensures stable performance for the applications, through performance monitoring and tuning.
- Directly responsible for low-level and mid-level problem troubleshooting, isolation, developing temporary solutions (workarounds), developing permanent solutions, and working with all parties involved in implement the solutions.
- Partners with the Infrastructure teams to facilitate their support towards the systems and application(s) goals.
- Creates and maintains application(s) runbook(s) detailing the architecture, infrastructure and operational procedures.
- Maintains the repository for all application(s) software and documentation.
- Maintains a relationship with the customer base, continuously gathering feedback concerning the application(s) performance, the perceived quality of support, and their current and future Requirements.
- Partners with other members of IT to ensure integration and coordination across the enterprise.
- Maintain a detailed understanding of the licensing structure around the application(s) and the company’s status as it relates to the licensing.
Requirements:- Requires Associate’s Degree or Bachelor’s Degree
- Proven track record creating documentation
- Strong interpersonal and communications skills
- Strength in data collection, analytics and reporting
- Commitment to excellent customer service
- Proven ability to manage own work and meet deadlines
- Accuracy and attention to detail
- Ability to work within a cross-functional team
- History of scripting in various languages (PHP, Perl, PowerShell, VBScript, JAVA and others)
- Able to quickly learn new programming languages and technologies, as needed
- Experience integrating with and customizing off the shelf products
- General understanding of servers, operating systems, storage and networking
