Job Description
Support and manage assigned software products. Responsible for all aspects of installation, testing, and maintenance for the software packages. Monitor applications’ performance and integrity to ensure services provided meet or exceed internal and external customer expectations.

 
Responsibilities
  • Provides operational support activities for all instances of assigned application(s) regardless of the environment (Training, Disaster Recovery, Bench Mark, Development, QA, P-Stage, and Production). 
  • Provides direct technical support for all requirements in the planning, coordination, programming and implementation of releases, upgrades, or changes to the applications.
  • Ensures stable performance for the applications, through performance monitoring and tuning.
  • Performs capacity planning to ensure the application(s) is scaled to meet current and stated projected capacities.
  • Directly responsible for problem troubleshooting, isolation, developing temporary solutions (workarounds), developing permanent solutions, and working with all parties involved in implement the solutions.
  • Partners with the Infrastructure teams to facilitate their support towards the systems and application(s) goals.
  • Creates and maintains application(s) runbook(s) detailing the architecture, infrastructure and operational procedures.
  • Maintains all Disaster Recovery artifacts that are required.
  • Maintains the repository for all application(s) software and documentation. 
  • Maintains a relationship with the customer base, continuously gathering feedback concerning the application(s) performance, the perceived quality of support, and their current and future Requirements.
  • Maintains a details understanding of industry trends and best practices concerning the application(s) and operational best practices.
  • Partners with other members of IT to ensure integration and coordination across the enterprise.
  • Act as the focal point for information and consultation all directly or indirectly affected by the application(s).
  • Recommend to the team the purchase of products and/or services necessary to support the application(s).
  • Mentoring more junior members on the team as to the processes and procedures around the support of the application(s).
  • Serve as liaison to application(s) vendors for support and information.
  • Maintain a detailed understanding of the licensing structure around the application(s) and the company’s status as it relates to the licensing.
  • Lead large projects to their successful completion, technically sound, meeting or exceeding business objectives, on time, and on budget.
 
Requirements:
  • Proven track record creating documentation
  • Strength in data collection, analytics and reporting
  • Proven ability to manage own work and meet deadlines
  • Ability to work within a cross-functional team
  • Strong successfully history of automated support of medium to large Microsoft Windows environments
  • Detailed understanding of Microsoft Operating Systems, Active Directory, Exchange, MSSQL and GPO
  • Must have a detailed understanding of Microsoft System Center, including Configuration Manager (SCCM), Operations Manager (SCOM) and Orchestrator (SCORCH)
  • Strong track record of designing, implementing and supporting SCCM, SCOM and associated solutions
  • Experience with network and storage event management tools
  • Scripting skills with PowerShell and VBScript
