Conexess Group is looking for a mid-level SQL Server Database Developer, with excellent written and verbal communication skills. You will assist with the design, development, and implementation of all database systems. We are moving our data onsite and building brand new OLTP environments as well as a state of the art Enterprise Data Warehouse.
Responsibilities:- Manage and enhance all aspects of data infrastructure to ensure information management meets the strategic goals and business needs of the company.
- Work closely with all members of IT and the business to ensure project deadlines are met, with little or no supervision.
- Design, develop, and implement database solutions that are best practices and industry standards such as database design, security, scalability, and performance.
- Implement database solutions according to database documentation that supports and conforms to coding standards, deployment procedures, and policies.
- Actively participate with the design, development, and implementation of all database solutions.
- Assist with some DBA responsibilities (e.g. database backups, SQL Server configuration, tuning, etc.)
- Design and develop ETL/ELT processes to support ODS, OLTP, and OLAP operations.
- Design and develop SSRS reports.
Required skills:- 2+ years’ experience with SQL Server 2005 – 2014
- Comprehensive T-SQL skills
- 2+ years working with SSIS
- 1+ years working with SSRS
- Detailed experience designing, creating, and implementing database objects (tables, views, stored procedures, functions, triggers, indexes, etc.)
- Knowledge and experience with OLTP and OLAP database systems, including design patterns and normalization.
- Competent troubleshooting and critical thinking skills that are both business and technical oriented.
Preferred skills:- Experience with Salesforce.com a plus
- Understanding of CLR capabilities
- Working knowledge of .NET
- Microsoft Database Certifications a plus
