Clinical Informatics Specialist
A large medical center providing an integrated healthcare environment, offering a wide-range of patient treatment and services is looking for Clinical Informatics Specialist. The center includes general and specialty-care clinics, as well as post-treatment and on-going patient care clinic. Nationally recognized, the center is known for exceptional quality, having won several awards since its establishment.
Responsibilities:
- Aiding in development, implementing and maintaining of clinical information system.
- Collaborate in planning, designing the clinical information system to optimize its use with respect to nurses, physicians, clinicians, and other healthcare workers.
- Liaise with clinical department and IT to support all healthcare workers in the clinical care team to incorporate quality control and any change management.
- Provide training on the workflow and procedures within the systems and maintain electronic documentation processes.
- Reporting to the CNIO.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Nursing, Computer Science, or a related field (or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience) required.
- Accredited Healthcare Professional (RN, Therapist, Radiology Technician, etc.) licensed to work in NY.
- Master’s degree or Certification in Health Informatics, CPHIMMS, and/or PMP, preferred.
- 2 years or more of clinical practice experience required.
- 2 years of healthcare data analysis or health clinical information system experience, preferred.- Excellent benefits, including medical insurance, paid vacation, 401(k)
