PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
This position reports to the Purchasing Director and is responsible for financial analysis activities to support the company’s global purchasing function included but not limited to ensuring vendors provide goods and services in accordance with the contract terms and conditions; data collection, vertical integration opportunities, analysis, cost structure tracking of manufacturing facilities, reporting and forecasting (e.g., budget, strategic plans, key performance indicators, M&A, etc.); evaluation of supplier financial condition; developing effective solutions to problems encountered by the purchasing function; developing and/or administering the company’s purchasing policies and procedures; administering the company’s supplier receivables; establishing and maintaining effective relationships cross-functionally; and providing financial support for various special investigative studies for management. 
 
YEARS EXPERIENCE: minimum 2-5 years of related experience
DEGREE PREFERRED: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in business, accounting, finance or related discipline
DESIRED COMPETENCIES/EXPERIENCE:
 
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to manipulate data from system reports, analyze and report data, and propose solutions to influence the data; critical thinker with the ability to question when data does not make sense
  • Must show aptitude to learn new systems quickly
  • Ability to operate within the MS Office suite; advanced skill level required for Excel & PowerPoint.
  • SAP experience is preferred
  • Business acumen; demonstrated capability to understand for various metrics impact the business
  • Strong interpersonal, organizational and documentation capabilities
  • Ability to operate independently and in a global team setting
  • Ability to efficiently juggle multiple priorities with accuracy, flexibility and speed
  • Strong communication skills including ensuring that all communications to external parties and internal management are timely, accurate and thorough and requests for data are clear
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS: Flexible working hours during budget preparation and Monthly MOR preparations. 5% Travel time is expected to understand and reflect the reality in models being used.
