WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING
We are building out an enterprise QA team and we need leaders in the testing of enterprise applications. You will be working closely with developers to test new applications at an enterprise level. There is a big focus on integrating these applications with current applications and you will be doing integration testing. This is a new role due to growth and new direction. It's an exciting opportunity to help build a team from scratch and be influential in the development of QA practices within the team and the enterprise.
DUTIES- Review Requirements and design documents to ensure adequate understanding
- Ability to formulate a solid test plan or test approach/strategy
- Determine test environment and test data requirements
- Ability to breaking down tasks, estimating timelines, and delivering quality results on time
- Create and execute test cases and communicate results
- Document and elevate potential risks
- Communicate project readiness and status
- Collaborate with developers to improve overall quality
- Ability to analyze and communicate root cause of a problem
- Track defects and ensure appropriate escalation
- Coordinate defect resolution and retesting
- Experience with writing SQL queries in either SQL Server or Oracle databases
- Work with other IT and technology teams to complete integrated assignments
- Actively participate in team processes and follow all established QA policies and procedures
QUALIFICATIONS- Bachelor of Science in Computer Science or equivalent experience
- 7 or more years experience in software quality assurance
- Experience with HP Quality Center and Star Team
- Strong SQL skills with MS SQL Server
- Proven experience with white box testing
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Creative problem solving skills
- Ability and aptitude to learn quickly and work within a team environment
- Strong analytical skills, assimilates information quickly and communicates issues clearly and concisely
- Ability to multi-task, manage multiple projects and work in a fast dynamic team-based environment
