International Assignment and Relocation Manager
 
The International Assignment and Relocation Manager is responsible for the administration of global mobility programs for our client and its subsidiaries. The program includes coordination of immigration, relocation, payroll and tax reporting services. The manager is responsible for managing vendors, policy development/clarification and employee communications. Complete payroll requirements and Year-End Data Processing. Provide guidance on tax, immigration and program management.
 
Primary Responsibilities include:
  • Manage vendor performance including accountability metrics
  • Monitor employee satisfaction through annual survey/feedback
  • Global benchmarking on policy, benefit administration, etc.
  • Explore and suggest tax planning ideas and/or savings as it relates to the policies
  • Serve as the HR Business Partner for International Service employees including repatriation planning
  • Coordinate with legal to implement proper legal and billing agreements between entities to support mobility
  • Coordination of initiation process with sending and receiving business units including assignment approval, vendor authorization, cost projections, immigration and tax considerations. 
  • Policy interpretation and review to ensure adherence and to reduce exceptions
  • Coordination and review of payroll calculations for global pay delivery
  • Coordination of worldwide compensation for year-end data gathering and reporting to ensure tax compliance
  • Preparation of assignment letters and immigration related documents to ensure compliance of immigration laws
  • Monitor Domestic Relocation program provisions including real estate transactions and vendor management
  • Vendor invoice review and reconciliation of expenses

  2. Extended International Business Travelers (EIBT) (30%).
    •  Tracking, administration, and tax/immigration issues
  3. Immigration (5%)
    • Local Hires and other Immigration issues
  4. Audit/Compliance/Service Contracts/Billing/Misc. Projects (10%)
  • USCIS audits; I9 internal audit
 
YEARS EXPERIENCE: 5 – 10 years in international assignment administration or international tax. 
 
DEGREE REQUIRED: Undergraduate degree in business, Required BA, MBA strongly preferred
