Description
Sr. Medical Science Liaison (Sr. MSL):  Exciting high profile Immunotherapy Company that manufacturers and markets products centered upon treating allergic disease through improved and innovative methods.  They are seeking a a field-based medical, clinical and scientific professional that engages in scientific exchange with medical and scientific experts, including Healthcare Professionals and Managed Markets Customers consistent with Medical Affairs and company objectives. This individual will be responsible for and focus on providing medical and scientific support for sublingual use products (Mixed Pollens Allergen Extract) across the product/s life cycle. This is a highly visible position and you will be the companies peer scientific expert who regularly communicates accurate and applicable clinical and medical science to Key Opinion and Thought Leaders (KOLs) and Health Care Professionals (HCPs), managed care, P&T and formulary committees across the United States. In addition, the Sr. MSL manages and maintains collegial and professional relationships with KOLs and identifies and facilitates collaboration opportunities. The Sr. MSL combines strong business acumen and clinical expertise and serves as a peer-to-peer liaison internally and externally

Principal Responsibilities 
  • Works closely with managed care personnel to deliver presentations in support of patient access, presenting the clinical science and clinical development program that clinically differentiates the product to payers, and other interested parties on a regular basis, either in person or via Webinar.
  • Develops and maintains collaborations and relationships with Key Opinion and Thought Leaders (KOLs) and Healthcare Professionals (HCPs) in the allergy immunotherapy therapeutic area.
  • Collaborates with physicians on medical affairs initiatives including publications, advisory boards, medical education opportunities, training and speaker development programs.
  • Sustains expertise in allergy immunotherapy management, emerging therapies and the competitive landscape.
  • Serves as a clinical, medical and scientific resource to experts in the allergy and medical area.
  • Supports the medical community with up-to-date medical information, robust disease expertise and product information. 
  • Communicates expert opinions and feedback on new data to companies Medical Affairs and appropriate therapeutic franchise personnel.
  • Provides actionable information that enhances the value and appropriate use of products to internal stakeholders.
  • Provides medical and scientific input into the planning and execution of advisory boards and works with physician experts to review speaker presentations and provide medical references where requested.
  • Responds to unsolicited medical information requests, manage questions and liaises with headquarters Medical Information personnel to ensure that a thorough, complete, fair, balanced and referenced response has been provided.
  • Understands local, regional and national initiatives on allergy immunotherapy, allergic rhinitis, and sublingual immunotherapy treatment guidelines.
  • Develops an understanding of the regional landscape including the medical specialties involved in the care of allergic rhinitis patients.
  • Serves as an internal and sublingual immunotherapy expert, demonstrating up-to-date and high level therapeutic expertise. Trains company staff on key tablet product and sublingual and allergy immunotherapy scientific and medical topics.
  • Adheres to internal standard operating processes and procedures and comply with regulatory and compliance requirements.

Position Location and Coverage
  • ANYWHERE within the U.S.A
  • Work from your own Home Office 1 to 2 days per week
  • U.S.A. travel: 2 to 3 overnights per week 
Compensation:
  • 135K to 150K Salary Range plus bonus
  • All travel and office related expenses
  • Full Benefit package: Medical, Dental, 401K and etc.
Required Skills

*MUST have an ADVANCED DEGREE in: Medicine, Pharmacy or relevant biological science.
*MUST have experience presenting/discussing scientific content in meetings, group presentations and large forum's.
*MUST have substantial industry experience as a Medical Science Liaison.
*MUST be home office based.
*Able to travel 3 to 4 days per week with 1 to 2 home office days per week.
*Excellent Presentation and Communication skills.




Optional Skills

*PharmD, Doctorate Degree Candidate Preferred.
*STRONGLY preferred, but optional, CURRENT experience in the allergy therapeutic and Allergy Immunotherapy area.
*Prefer, but optional; current and active relationships with KOL (Key Opinion Leaders) focused in Allergy (Board Certified Allergists, Otolaryngic Allergists etc.).
