Aveshka uses Microsoft’s SharePoint platform as its primary document server and team collaboration portal. The team site is used for business development efforts, including proposal collaboration with external partners, corporate initiatives, and for program management activities. Additionally, each user has access to a personal SkyDrive for storing personal documents or drafts.
As such, Aveshka’s SharePoint collection is critical to business operations, and its function will continue to grow with the firm in the coming years. Aveshka has an urgent need to develop the site to meet current and future business needs, as well as to enhance its security controls.
The three primary responsibilities shall be:- Assess the design and function of the existing Aveshka SharePoint Team Site, and suggest changes to improve collaboration, business function, and security
- Implement critical design changes, such as:
- Design and implement repeatable workflow processes for information management
- Establish protocols and best practices for sharing sites with External Users
- Train Aveshka IT staff in enhanced site management techniques (e.g., security accesses, workflows). Specifically, help implement a team site portal to be used to manage an IDIQ-type contract (various levels of access; create forms; etc.).

Aveshka uses the latest Office 365 SharePoint 2013 Online cloud-based system, therefore enabling use of leading-edge technologies and growth to establish the firm’s policies and protocols for this important information-sharing tool.
This individual will work closely with Aveshka’s internal project manager. A project schedule will be required as a deliverable and reviewed on a weekly basis.
SharePoint training/certification desired (not required). Strong oral and written communication skills are critical.
- Required Skills
-
• Strong expertise in Microsoft SharePoint Online, with 2+ years’ experience developing custom solutions with SharePoint 2010 and 2013
• Understanding of a wide variety of information technologies, understanding of business needs, and ability to translate the needs into internal use workflows and business process applications using programming language and technology to analyze, design/develop and/or modify software programs using .NET, JavaScript, C#, HTML/XHTML, CSS and SQL.
• Ability to develop new concepts and methods with a solid understanding and knowledge of management tools including social media, SharePoint, UI/UX, change control software and database technologies.
• Technical training experience
• Experience designing workflows in SharePoint Online
• Experience creating and administering security protocols and user permissions (including group permissions and External User permissions) in SharePoint Online
• Experience creating custom modules (e.g., forms) in SharePoint Online
• Ability to gather requirements from both technical and non-technical users, and incorporate them into SharePoint site design to best meet users’ needs.
• Demonstrated experience in managing complex technical deliverables on time and at cost.
