Summary: The Senior Security Engineer role is to design, implement and operate Data Loss Prevention System (Endpoint, Network and email DLP Systems) and Web Application Firewall. This is a technical hand on position and the candidate is expected to have in depth security engineering background with experience in hands on installation of security tool sets. Experience with Digital Guardian DLP and F5 loadbalancer is preferred.

  1. Minimum Education:  
  • Bachelor’s Degree (preferably in a Technology-related field) from a four-year college or university or equivalent experience.
  • Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) preferred
  • Specific years of experience may serve as substitutions in some areas
  • Required Experience:
  • 8 + years of experience in IT Security field.
  • Healthcare domain experience is preferred.
  • Familiarity with application security and network security concepts
  • Experience in designing, implementing and operating security technologies especially Data Loss Prevention and Web Application Firewall.Required Skills:
  • Information security policies and best practices
  • Data Loss Prevention Tools (including network, endpoint and email DLP)
  • The current IT Data Protection landscape and upcoming trends in security
  • Work with our Security Group, Legal, Privacy, and other business units as appropriate to design and implement Data Loss Prevention contols.
  • Maintain DLP Policies/Rules and associated events which support compliance to our Company's corporate policies
  • Maintain/troubleshoot issues with the DLP security infrastructure
  • Deployment and management of Web Application Firewall. This includes the identification and modification of rules for deployment to provide protection against application layer attacks
  • Working with the various business teams to ensure applications are protected but maintain full functionality behind a Web Application Firewall. This may include the analysis of existing rules or the creation of new rules needed to address newly released application layer attacks.
  • Strong technical knowledge of AppSec and Application Layer attacks
  • Responsible for end-to-end problem and service management, and clear communication of ongoing problem status to colleagues and management
  • Make recommendations to strengthen the security posture of our computing environment as well as recommend process and technology improvements to ensure timely response to future Data Leakage security incidents and web application attacks.
  • Highly self motivated and directed, with keen attention to detail.
  • Able to prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.
  • Ability to work in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
  • Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Create and maintain documentation as it relates to system configuration, mapping, and processes.
