The Senior UX Designer Consultant is responsible for working on the front end of global customer experience for a financial services company’s digital assets. You will deliver new designs ultimately improve usability/customer experience. You will be responsible for creating working prototypes and be an expert in Sketch & InVision and closely collaborate in a Agile environment cross functionally to improve the consumer and business loan customer experience.

What you’ll do:

In this role, you’ll work closely with our Fortune 500 client to utilize strong user experience design to improve their website.  We are looking to you to bring your expertise in design tools and solid understanding and experience with responsive web design.  Your ability to create working prototypes is unmatched and you have exposure to analyzing user research to tailor your designs.  You will be successful in a dynamic, complex environment and under deadline pressures.   

Additionally, you’ll:

• Have a strong design portfolio
• Clear understanding of design fundamentals
• Expert in design tools – must know Sketch and InVision
• Have some familiarity with technical capabilities and limitations of HTML, JS and CSS
• Ability to create working prototypes
• Have experience with effectively communicating
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive point of arrival strategies

Who you are: 

You are a Senior UX Designer with experience in creating working prototypes for large, highly matrixed companies, and a desire to work on applications for a well-known financial services company.

What you have:

• A strong design portfolio showing Empathy and Journey Maps, Clear Problem Statement, Ideation and Sketching, Divergent and Convergent thinking and or Lo and Hi- Fidelity Prototypes
• Clear understanding of design fundamentals: Grids, Typography, Color, Contract, Visual Hierarchy, Spatial Relationships
• Expertise in Design Tools: Must know Sketch and InVision.  The Following tools would be a plus: Principle Origami, Linto, Adobe CC, Balsmiq, Omnigraffle, Axure
• Strong focus on usability
• Must have understanding and experience with responsive web design
• Effective communication skills (both verbal and written), especially focused on running collaborative workshops and articulating design strategies
• Familiarity in the technical capabilities and limitations of HTML, JS and CSS
• Familiarity with Design Thinking, Lean UX, Lean Startup, Scrum and Agile values and methodologies
• Ability to create working prototypes
• Experience with user research is a plus
