Land Survey Manager—Texas Registered Professional Land Surveyor (RPLS)

We have an opportunity in the Houston area for a Texas professional land surveyor that offers a great deal of freedom. A growing civil engineering company wishes to add a stand-alone surveying department. The surveying department would accommodate work generated by the company's civil projects, but also seek survey-only clients and projects. The first task of the Survey Manager would be to set up and prepare the department for operation.

As the leader of this new department, you would have the freedom and autonomy to make decisions such as:

-Who you hire and work with.
-Selecting the equipment and software systems you will use.
-Which clients and projects you wish to focus on.
-What the department's SOPs will be.

After the new surveying department was set up, the Survey Manager would be responsible for all survey-related activity including but not limited to the following:

-Communicating with clients.
-Review, stamp and sign all deliverables.
-Management of field survey activity.
-Develop new clients.
