A mid-sized Atlanta-based management company is seeking an energetic, experienced Business Development Manager to drive new business by closing owner prospects. The Business Development Manager is responsible for following leads, conducting discovery with target clients, presenting proposals, and closing deals. The Business Development Manager teams with Senior Management to build a pipeline of new deals, close them, ensure fulfillment and carry out a successful hand-over. The position is based in Atlanta, GA. Some travel is required.
Success depends on a strong drive to win new business, as well as existing b2b relationships. Daily duties include managing pipeline of potential deals, assessing and designing solutions to meet the needs of multiple clients, teaming with field management to create proposals with terms & conditions, and securing client agreement.

• Identification and development of new business opportunities through identification and qualification of new clients.

• Creation, development and presentation of sales proposals; Execution of all proposals in line with the management company’s sales strategy, quality control processes and any industry standard processes adopted by the company.
• Use of standard pricing, templates and collateral as directed
• Ensuring the appropriate department staff are briefed and sufficient lead times are available for them to provide pre-sales support such as work estimates in relation to client proposals
• Recording and management of all client contact and sales related intellectual property as approved by the President
• Completion of all specified sales reporting requirements
• Participation in the development and continuous improvement of marketing and sales collateral for the purpose of generating new business.
• Effective management of allocated key client accounts such that client retention
• Clear and effective communication with all staff as required, and with the President and Senior Management Team in particular
• Respect for, and adhere to the management company’s processes
• Other Duties as directed by the President

Job Requirements

Education, training, experience:
Requirements: College level coursework in business development and sales generation with a minimum of 2 years’ experience in a new business or sales role within the multi-family industry. Real Estate broker license and existing owner relationships are advantageous. The ideal candidate needs to be a well presented, self-motivated and prepared to hit the ground running and will have a proven track record of identifying, hunting and closing new business deals. An ability to demonstrate basic knowledge of client’s business needs is key, as well as a working industry knowledge that includes key competitors, terminology, technology, trends, and challenges.
