Position Summary:

We are working with an outsourced operations firm devoted exclusively to providing knowledge, execution and support for emerging food & beverage brands determined to achieve success.    The Director of Commercialization will interact and support the commercialization needs of clients through client interface and working with suppliers and vendors. Our client provides top notch operational execution & support for small up and coming food and beverage brands.  This is a remote position that requires a self-starter and someone who thrives in an entrepreneurial environment.

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Works cross functionally within company to lead, own and support clients through commercialization (go to market).
  • Actively interacting and supporting the commercialization (go to market) needs of their clients according to the scope of work and how the client is engaged
  • Will be interfacing with company clients on a cross functional level with webinars, project management tools, etc. 
  • Will be working with client’s 3rd party suppliers, vendors and regulatory manufacturing partners
  • Will be operating at times on client’s behalf as agent of the client

 

Required Skills/Qualifications:

  • 5+ years’ experience in a food manufacturing environment in commercialization and go to market strategies.
  • Proven background finding, vetting and working extensively with co manufacturers on product development and commercialization.
  • Must have understand and have the experience with production, launching a product and taking it to market
  • Must be able to handle challenging environments and have the ability to prioritize and change direction as needed
  • Quality and Food Safety experience preferred
  • Natural/Organic and/or Plant Based experience preferred
  • Ideally large or medium company experience coupled with smaller startup experience
  • Active process of documenting project steps client communications
  • Experience using project management tools
  • Strong Inter-departmental communications
  • Working within client brands across their departments
  • Understand the value of and have the ability to interact with quality and R&D professionals
  • Continuous improvement minded
  • Strong multi-tasker, able to self-direct and redirect when needed
  • Entrepreneurially minded, will need to be able to think on your feet
  • Excellent written and verbal communicator. Able to communicate cross functionally
  • Must be pragmatic and tactical
  • Ability to travel as needed
  • Valid driver’s license
