We are working on a newly created Sales Manager role in the health/wellness industry. The Business Development Manager will help drive sales and grow presence in the Northeast. This role will be responsible for building relationships within the industry in complementary segments of the health/wellness and performance nutrition industry. The BDM is a remote position based in the Northeast.


Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Implement efficient and sales strategies that maintain customer satisfaction
  • Create and maintain key relationships in the health/wellness nutrition industry
  • Negotiate & prepare commercial agreements
  • Document sales activities in company software and project management software
  • Make relationships with key influencers and strategic partners
  • Collaborate with management team to plan, execute and track results at tradeshows and exhibits
  • Work cross functionally with internal teams – sales & marketing, quality and supply chain
  • Report sales activities, key opportunities & challenges at monthly sales meetings


Required Knowledge/Experience/Skills:

  • 5+ years’ experience in a food B2B sales role
  • Previous background selling in the health/wellness and/or performance nutrition business – flavor sales also ideal
  • Bachelor’s Degree in a related field is ideal – food science, nutrition
  • Excellent verbal & written communication skills
  • Able to present technical sales data
  • Must be able to think creatively and analytically
  • Comfortable with technology – able to adapt to company software
  • Strong relationship builder
  • Attention to detail with minimal supervision
  • Proven success in a results, high performing team environment
